Present inside the technological communication centre in Tomorrow Never Dies, Robinson gives Bond his instructions whilst on assignment. Robinson follows M's orders and tells Bond to start identifying terrorists at an arms bazaar.
The World Is Not Enough sees slightly more action for Robinson when he escorts M to Turkey to meet Elektra King. He also assists Bond by getting him and Dr Christmas Jones to Elektra's pipeline to defuse a bomb.
Sadly, Robinson has very little to do in Die Another Day. His presence is limited to very few scenes, most notably during a 'mission' with Bond in a training exercise on the virtual reality device invented by Q, and later giving a briefing to Bond and Jinx.
About
M's chief of staff, Charles Robinson provides a contact for Bond at HQ, but also is a good field agent and provides valuable assistance to Bond. Robinson has a commanding presence, and with his deep voice combined with a straight-talking attitude, he complements M nicely. §
