While the more common name for this gadget is now a jet ski, this was a new idea, and not commercially available in the late seventies at the time of The Spy Who Loved Me. Bond assembles the wetbike (as it was called) from a series of parts held in a large bag at the bemusement of Captain Carter and a crewman. Once assembled, Bond uses the wetbike to travel quickly to Atlantis to rescue Anya from Karl Stromberg. §
