This Russian helicopter is seen in the pre-title sequence to A View To A Kill. After Bond has discovered the microchip, he is followed by a series of men on skis, motorised vehicles and in this helicopter.
When the helicopter gets in range it fires its cannon, with one of the shots causing Bond to trip and lose one of his skis. After ditching his pursuers, Bond manages to destroy the helicopter by firing a red flare into the cockpit, obscuring visibility, causing it to crash into the ice. §
