Playing a key role in You Only Live Twice, SPECTRE’s rocket codenamed Bird 1, is capable of ‘swallowing’ other spacecraft.
In a bid to start World War III, SPECTRE captures American and Russian spacecraft in orbit with Bird 1, whose specially designed nose opens to allow a spacecraft to be kept inside. Once back at base the crew of the spacecraft are kept prisoners in Blofelds volcano lair. §
