film information
Shortly after Bond arrives in Montenegro, he collects a package from the hotel front desk containing car keys to a new Aston Martin DBS. Parked nearby in the hotel car park, Bond opens up the Astons retractable draws to find a small array of useful items. There are no metal spikes, oil slicks or even Adaptive Camouflage this time around. Instead much more practical items such as a defibrillator and anti-poison/chemical combi-pens are present, which come in very handy later in the film. Also present is Bond's trusty Walther, fitted with a silencer which Bond removes and takes back to the hotel.
Later when Bond realises that Vesper Lynd has been captured by Le Chiffre, he chases after them in the Aston. In a clever but sadistic move, Le Chiffre places Vesper bound in the middle of the road at just the right spot over a small hill. As Bonds Aston Martin flies over the hill, he spots Vesper, but has to swerve very hard to avoid hitting her, tipping the car over and sending it into a violent series of flips. Unfortunately not much is left of the Aston, and Bond is dragged away by Le Chiffre to be tortured.
