mantaray cover
This simple gadget is used by Bond to approach Milton Krest’s boat underwater undetected by simply pretending to be a Mantaray using this cover.
explosive alarm clock
While not used in the film, Q tells Bond about this explosive alarm clock guaranteed not to wake up the person who used it.
laser camera
This Polaroid camera fired a laser out of the flash compartment when the flash was trigged. Pam Bouvier nearly hits Q and Bond when she fires the camera returning an X-Ray photograph.
rappelling cummerbund
This cummerbund allowed Bond to rappel down the face of Sanchez’s casino allowing him to get into position to use his explosives.
Dentonite toothpaste and detonator
Bonds Dentonite toothpaste is used on the ledge of Sanchez’s office combined with the detonator. Disguised as a packet of cigarettes, Bond takes one cigarette and places it in the toothpaste. After setting up the explosives, he triggers the explosion by remote from across the street.
signature gun
Q provides Bond with a signature gun, and after being programmed by Q, it can only be used by Bond. Bond uses this after he detonates the explosives in front of Sanchez’s office. However, before he has chance to kill Sanchez, he is overcome by two ninja’s who try to shoot Bond with his gun but luckily they can’t use the gun.
broom transmitter
This is quite a unique gadget, as this is one of the few gadgets that Q actually uses himself ‘in the field’. Similar to the Flute Transmitter In Live and Let Die, Q pulls out the aerial and pulls apart the middle section to reveal a microphone. Q then proceeds to tell Pam Bouvier where Bond is heading and who he is with. Ironically he then proceeds to do what he always tells Bond not to do, he simply throws the gadget into the bushes.
