Caroline Bliss playing Miss Moneypenny
Starred In The Living Daylights (1987) and Licence To Kill (1989)
film information
Miss Moneypenny played by Caroline Bliss appears in two James Bond films - The Living Daylights and Licence To Kill. Sadly there isn't much for Miss Moneypenny to do in The Living Daylights, with the usual banter seen in the previous films virtually non-existent.
Licence To Kill does not fare much better for Miss Moneypenny either. She is barely seen at all, apart from one small scene where she gets criticised by M for making mistakes on some papers, and for her lack of professionalism in dealing with Bond's resignation from Her Majesty's Secret Service.
character information
For the first time in twenty-five years Lois Maxwell does not play Miss Moneypenny, this role falls to Caroline Bliss. Sadly due to limitations in the script Caroline Bliss does not get to establish herself in the role. Seen only very briefly in both films, Caroline Bliss' Miss Moneypenny lacks the charm of previous films, with next to no banter with Bond, whom is himself barely acknowledging Miss Moneypenny subtle flirts. However Moneypenny still cares about Bond and makes sure she looks after him; as when Bond goes renegade, she sends Q out to help him. §
