Bond connections

This plaque celebrates the career of the first James Bond, Sean Connery.

History

Commemorating the centenary of cinema in 1996, this plaque was installed at Sean Connery's birthplace by The Scottish Film Council (now taken over by Scottish Screen). Dedicated to the ongoing career of Sir Sean Connery, this is a interesting piece of history.

Insider tips/trivia

Sadly the plaque does not exist at this location anymore. In 2006 the Scottish & Newcastle Brewery, the site of the former home of Sean Connery, was demolished to make way for a new residential and business district. The plaque which is currently in storage may make an appearance in the future on the side of one of the new buildings, however this unclear.
