Profile

After seducing an Admiral at the Monte Carlo Casino, the Admiral takes Xenia Onatopp back to his yacht, where she kills him. This then gives her the correct pass to board the French warship La Fayette anchored in this harbour. Bond attempts to stop Xenia from stealing the Tiger Helicopter which is being demonstrated, but is detained by the French authorities.

Port Hercule (Port D'Hercule in French) is where Monaco's (very) rich and famous anchor their luxury yachts. Originally built in 1926, the port went extensive renovations in the 1970s. With space for over 700 vessels over almost 40 acres, you certainly can't miss the harbour. A major focal point for the area, there are plenty of restaurants and bars where you can watch all the glamorous people go by.

Trivia

Monaco is also famous for the Formula 1 Grand Prix held here every year. Consequently you may wish to time your visit to conicide (or avoid!) this busy period. §
