Bond connections

If Fortnum & Mason is good enough for royalty, then it must be good enough for James Bond. In the books Bond describes his love of honey from Fortnums.

History

Established in 1707, Fortnum & Mason is perhaps one of the most lavish department stores in London. Initially starting as a grocery store, Fortnums sells a variety of goods catering to the highest upper-class clientele, including the Royal Family.

Insider tips/trivia

Be prepared to have your wallet ready when you enter Fortnum & Mason, as quality and excellence comes at a price. If you have a sweet tooth, then there is plenty to tempt you to part with your cash on the ground floor. You might also want to take a look at the other floors which are often suprising quiet in comparison!

The standard for quality and excellence can be seen in Fortnums with its three royal warrants (an impressive feat), evidence that it supplies a number of products directly to the Royal Family.

The nearest tube is Green Park or Piccadilly Circus.
