Some of the Bond films most famous moments would not have remained in our memories so vividly if it had not been for the use of some of the worlds most sexy, glamorous and unique locations.
The James Bond locations have always been inspirational, and are often out of reach of the normal person, making them even more appealing. As Bond jets off around the world on his travels visiting many different countries criss-crossing the globe, the audience gets to revel in a true sense of escapism. Not all the locations featured in the films have been suave, sexy or indeed elegant. From disused tube stations to abandoned mines, Bond has seen them all.
Somewhere that once was seemingly completely unobtainable in the 1960's is now more common place today. With consumer travel growing at a substantial rate with remote and isolated locations becoming more accessible, the locations in the film are also changing to keep up with the times. However the future of the Bond franchise turns out, the world, travel and locations will always be the backdrop for the world most famous secret agent to carry out his mission. §
