This earpiece is contained inside a small box, placed inside a black bag. Before the Tosca performance in Austria starts, guests are each given a bag of seemingly promotional items about the performance. However when any member of the Quantum organisation approaches, they are given this version of the bag with the earpiece, and 'Q' pin.
Bond is able to use this earpiece to listen in to the conversation Quantum is having. After announcing his presence, he is able to take pictures of some of the leaving members using his Sony Ericsson mobile phone. §
