Piton Gun

Piton Gun used by James Bond

Owned by MI6

Featured in Diamonds Are Forever (1971)

Bond uses this piton gun to scale Willard Whyte's sloped penthouse, where the gun fires a series of ropes. After gaining entry through a skylight above Whyte's toilet, Bond comes face-to-face with not one, but two Ernst Stavro Blofelds. After being disarmed of his Walther PPK, Bond has the idea to kick Blofeld's cat to see who grabs it, and then shoot him with the piton gun. While the idea is a good one, Bond kills just the double, not the real Blofeld. §
