Whilst Bond is training to be a ninja at Tiger Tanaka's training school, he encounters a number of gadgets. Firstly a gun that fired jet-propelled cartridges that burst into flames upon hitting its target. Secondly, Tiger demonstrates to Bond a small cigarette than upon lighting fired a miniature rocket. This would be crucial later in the film whist held captive in Ernst Stavro Blofeld's volcano. Bond asks if he can smoke, and fires the rocket at one of Blofeld's technicians. He then springs into action and leaps over to the volcano crater controls opening the entrance. He fights off Blofeld's men just long enough for Tiger's ninjas to enter the volcano before armed guards stop him. §
