Wrist dart gun

Firstly Bond uses the gun in the centrifuge room where Dr. Holly Goodhead works. Chang tries to kill Bond by putting him under very intense G-Forces, but Bond manages to short out the controls using the dart gun. As Hugo Drax tries to escape at the end of the film, he manages to pick up a gun and hold Bond at gunpoint. However Bond shoots Drax with the dart gun and escorts him out the airlock instructing him to take a giant step for mankind.

Cigarette case safe cracker

This is a more advanced version of the Safe Combination Cracker used in You Only Live Twice. Hidden inside an innocent looking cigarette case this safe cracker used X-Ray's to see the inner workings of the safe. Once inside Bond photographs some plans using the 007 Miniature Camera.

Bond carries around this miniature, not so subtle camera (it has 007 written on the front) in Moonraker. With the lens of the camera making up the middle 0 of the camera, Bond takes pictures of the plans inside Drax’s safe.

Drax's globes

Drax manufactures 50 of these globes that contain glasses slotted in them around the outside. These glasses contain vials of deadly gas that is fatal to humans but has no effect to plants or animals. Drax plans to fire these at the Earth to kill off the human race and replace it with a new Drax “master race”.

Holly's gadgets

When Bond meets Dr. Goodhead in her hotel room he encounters some of her CIA gadgets. Bond writes something using a pen then notices that if you click the top, a poison needle appears. There is a normal looking diary with a thick spine; pressure on the spine shoots a dart. Dr. Goodhead takes Bond to her make-up table where she squirts some perfume on herself. Bond then proceeds to investigate a similar bottle in front of him. After smelling its contents he presses the button away from him shooting out a flamethrower. Finally Bond picks up Dr. Goodhead’s handbag and discovers it to be a radio transmitter.

The only one of these gadgets that is actually used in the film is the poison needle pen that Bond uses to kill Drax's python that tries to crush him later in the film.

Gadgets in Q’s lab

Hidden inside a monastery in Brazil Q is testing some of his latest gadgets. Bond sees demonstrations of exploding bolas which when thrown around an object exploded and what looks like a sombrero wearing person taking a siesta – but opened up to reveal a machine gun. Finally Bond sees one of Q’s technicians demonstrate a laser capable of literally melting its target.

While Bond doesn’t use any of these gadgets, both the Drax and NASA astronauts use these lasers during the fight to gain control of the space station at the end of the film.

Exploding watch

This watch contains a small circular pad of explosive hidden underneath the watch face. Bond removes the small explosive charge and attaches it to the watch by means of a piton and small length of wire. Bond then triggers the device using a button on his watch so he and Dr. Holly Goodhead can escape the flame pit of Moonraker 5.
