Digital Radio Watch

Digital Radio Watch

Digital Radio Watch used by James Bond

Owned by MI6

Featured in For Your Eyes Only (1981)

This watch displayed the time in the usual analogue way, but at the top there was a space for a message to be digitally displayed. The watch also had the feature of being a radio. This is used at the very end of the film when Q, Sir Frederick Gray and Bill Tanner are trying to get in contact with Bond. He places the watch next to Max the parrot, and unknown to the people at MI6, and indeed to Margaret Thatcher, they are talking to a parrot! Whilst Max entertains, Bond and Melina Havelock disrobe each other and take a moonlight swim. §
