This small transmitter was small enough to fit into a jockey's whip or a cane. Bond and Sir Godfrey Tibbett realise the reason why Max Zorin has been managing to win all his races recently, after they investigate Zorin's underground laboratory. Bond tells Tibbett that when the transmitter is activated in Zorin's cane, it sends a signal to an implanted syringe in Pegasus. This injects undetectable normal horse steroids allowing Pegasus to overcome fatigue and win the race. §
