Profile
After returning to the Bahamas from Miami, M decides to know what Bond is up to and where. A member of MI6 arrives and opens up a briefcase. He gets a large and rather unpleasant looking device, and holds it to Bond's arm injecting a small chip. Bond then puts his arm through the scanner in the briefcase. A display is then seen on a laptop showing an X-ray style image of his arm, with details about his location, heart rate and other information.
Much later in the film M and other members of MI6 use the information gathered by the chip to work out what poison Valenka had used on Bond, and thus advise him accordingly as to how to counteract it. When Bond is later captured by Le Chiffe, he removes the chip from Bond's arm to ensure that he cannot be tracked. §
