Grunther travels with Irma Bunt to meet James Bond, in his guise as Sir Hillary Bray, at the train station in Switzerland.
Later in the film Grunther denies Campbell access to Piz Gloria when he tries to travel up via cable car, and appears in a number of other small scenes throughout Bonds 'stay' at Piz Gloria.
It is later in the film that during the battle at Piz Gloria Teresa Di Vicenzo and Grunther are involved in a vicious hand-to-hand fight, where Tracy manages to get the upper hand culminating in Grunther being pushed onto a wall of spikes.
