Profile
Tracked to an animal fight in Madagascar, Mollaka is under surveillance by Bond and junior agent Carter. When Mollaka receives a text message that makes him start to leave the scene, Carter unwittingly draws attention to himself when he keeps touching his earpiece. Mollaka notices this, and as Carter attempts to make pursuit, trips, and accidentally fires his gun causing everyone to panic.
In an excellent sequence, Bond follows Mollaka in an intense foot chase using free-running techniques through jungle, a construction site, up cranes, jumping onto buildings, down roads and ending up at the Nambutu Embassy. Relaxing now he thinks he's safe, Bond calmly strolls into the embassy and easily grabs Mollaka. Using him as protection against all the guards that are shooting Bond, he makes his way through the embassy. Mollaka gets shot in the leg, but Bond continues to drag him around, throwing him out of the window into a courtyard.
Now outside and surrounded by troops, Bond puts his gun down. He then quickly draws another gun, kills Mollaka and shoots gas canisters causing an explosion. Using this as a diversion, Bond escapes. Looking at Mollaka's mobile phone, Bond is able to trace it to Alex Dimitrios in the Bahamas. §
About
A freelance terrorist bomb maker, Mollaka is hired by Alex Dimitrios to carry out Le Chiffre's plan to destroy the Skyfleet S570 prototype. With scars on his face and hands from possibly previous contracts, Mollaka has very high agility and certainly keeps Bond on his toes. While Mollaka has style and finesse, Bond struggles to keep up by taking short cuts and applying more brute force.
