Mr Kidd played by Putter Smith is the third villain of Diamonds Are Forever. The second half of a murderous duo, Mr Wint and Mr Kidd are employees of Ernst Stavro Blofeld.
Wint and Kidd appear throughout Diamonds Are Forever murdering anyone who comes into contact with the diamonds after they have done their part in the diamond smuggling operation. They make a couple of attempts on Bonds life, unsuccessfully. In the climax of Diamonds Are Forever Wint and Kidd make one more attempt to kill Bond. Pretending to be waiters, Wint and Kidd are caught out by Bonds knowledge of wines and suspects the pairs identity from Mr Wint’s aftershave smelt before. Bond disposes of the Mr Kidd by turning him into a human fireball causing Mr Kidd to throw himself overboard.
