Scarpine played by Patrick Bauchau is the fourth villain of A View To A Kill. Scarpine is first seen when Bond arrives at Max Zorin’s French château for the horse sale.
He greets Bond (proposing as a buyer) and shows him to the main sale area. Scarpine seems to have every guests room bugged, as he checks up on an employee to see if there is any information talked about the sales. Scarpine later helps his boss assassinate all the miners in the abandoned mine at the end of the film. Scarpine and Dr Carl Mortner are killed however when Mortner fails to get rid of a lit bundle of dynamite after a failed attempt to kill Bond.

Scarpine is head of security for Max Zorin, and while he appears in nearly all the scenes containing Zorin and May Day, he only has a small number of speaking lines. §
