Born in Marseille, France on 19th June 1919
Starred In Octopussy (1983)
Travelling to Delhi, Bond wins a fixed game of backgammon with Khan, where he tells him to "Spend the money quickly, Mr Bond". As Bond leaves, he gives Gobinda orders to kill him.
After enjoying a night of passion with Magda who steals the Fabergé Egg, Bond is knocked unconscious by Gobinda and taken to the Monsoon Palace. After using Q's fountain pen, Bond manages to escape his cell and the palace in the morning following a safari-style manhunt.
Joining forces with Kamal Khan, General Orlov agrees a deal where he will obtain valuable jewels from the Kremlin. Kamal in return sets up a complicated scheme where a nuclear bomb will be detonated on a US Airforce base in West Germany using Octopussy's Circus as a transport vehicle, thus allowing Orlov's troops to invade. Double-crossing Octopussy, the plan fails when Bond manages to stop the bomb with seconds to spare.
Arriving back in India, Kamal and Gobinda prepare to leave the Monsoon Palace. When Octopussy and her crew arrive and take over the palace, Kamal takes Octopussy hostage. Kamal, Gobinda and a hostage Octopussy then attempt to escape by plane. Bond manages to catch up with the plane where he climbs on the wing as it takes off. He manages to dispose of Gobinda when he fights Bond atop the plane at attitude, then Bond proceeds to force the plane to dive. After rescuing Octopussy, the pair jump as the plane is near the ground, leaving Kamal to be killed when the plane crashes.
An aristocratic smuggler of gems based in Delhi, Kamal Khan is a devious yet sophisticated villain. An exiled Afghan prince, Kamal Khan indulges in gambling (using loaded dice), sports (preferably man-hunts) and lives in luxury at his Monsoon Palace. In true Bond villain fashion, Kamal Khan invites Bond to a posh dinner whilst he is prisoner at the palace. Whilst eating foreign delicacies and drinking expensive wine, Kamal talks to Bond about his future torture methods and how he is to be killed. §
