Film information

Helga Brandt played by Karin Dor is the second villain of You Only Live Twice. Secretary to Mr Osato they arrive by helicopter when Bond has a meeting with the industrialist.

After Bond leaves, Osato orders Brandt to kill him. Later at Kobe docks Bond is captured and taken to see Helga. Knowing that she will be killing Bond later she allows herself to be seduced by Bond pretending to defect to his side. However whilst travelling in a Cessna aeroplane she parachutes out leaving Bond to try and control the diving plane, narrowly escaping before the plane blows up after an emergency landing. Her series of failures however cause Ernst Stavro Blofeld to kill her in a very nasty way – she is dropped into Blofelds tank of pet piranha fish.

This luscious redhead works for Mr Osato in her position as SPECTRE agent number 11, consequently she is given all the ‘dirty work’ by Osato. An expert in torture using plastic surgeons tools, Bond is spared the integration when she decides to have a bit of pleasure for herself before she gets down to work – shades of Fiona Volpe from Thunderball. §
