Eric Kriegler played by John Wyman is the fifth villain of For Your Eyes Only. Appearing innocently as a winter sports competitor, Bibi Dahl foolhardily tries to arrange to have a drink with the champion skier at the finish line.
When Bond leaves Bibi, Kriegler uses his rifle to pin down 007, who manages to escape. Bond manages to avoid Kriegler in the following chase along with other henchmen riding Yamaha Motorcycles.
Eric Kriegler appears later in the film where he arranges for the KGB to buy the ATAC Communicator from Aristotle Kristatos. When Bond, Milos Columbo and Melina Havelock raid Kristatos’ hideout in the climax of the film, Kriegler is killed when after a short fight Bond pushes him out the window, falling a long way to his death.

An East German biathlon champion, Eric Kriegler also works for the KGB and Kristatos. Tall and strong, Kriegler presents an opposing force and manages to bash Bond around in the climax of the film. It is however his strength that is his downfall. When he picks up what must be a very heavy stone trough, Bond pushes him out the window with the momentum sending him over the ledge falling a long way to his death. §
