Ed Killifer played by Everett McGill is the fourth villain of Licence To Kill. A trusted friend, Killifer visits Felix Leiter on his wedding day to express his congratulations for the happy couple.
After the capture of Sanchez, Killifer is pleased that Sanchez will be going down for a long time. Famous for his million dollar deals from people who help him in escaping, Sanchez offers Killifer two million if he organises his release. While initially throwing the offer back in Sanchez’s face, Killifer soon changes his mind when Killifer drives the prison van containing into the sea.
Killifer does nothing to help his ‘old buddy’ Felix as he gets ready to be lowered into the shark pool, telling him that two million dollars is a lot of money. Justice for once prevails when Killifer aptly gets fed to the same shark that ravaged Felix.

Starting as an honest man, Ed Killifer soon becomes bought by Sanchez when he shows Killifer large dollar signs. Loyal to his word, Sanchez gives Killifer a very heavy suitcase containing two million dollars in cash. Killifer attempts to make a deal with Bond for his life when he finds himself in a comprising position. Greedy to the last, Killifer tries to grab the suitcase when Bond throws it at him, causing him to fall into the shark pool below. §
