Profile

The pre-title sequence sees Scaramanga taking it easy on his private island accompanied by Andrea Anders and servant Nick Nack. To keep his boss on top form (and steal his island!) Nick Nack arranges various mafia/assassin types to try and kill Scaramanga, something they always fail.

Later in the film Bond is invited to dinner after visiting Hai Fat unaware that Scaramanga is there. After Hai Fat becomes worried about Bonds involvement, he arranges with Scaramanga to have Bond killed, whilst telling him about the regret he has for even employing Scaramanga’s services. Unfazed by this criticism, Scaramanga silently constructs his golden gun and proceeds to kill Hai Fat taking over his empire.

Later in the film when he kills Miss Anders, Bond follows him where he sees Scaramanga's AMC Matador turns into the car that can fly. After tracking him to his private island, Bond confronts him, and is offered a tour. Nick Nick then rings the dinner bell and Bond, Scaramanga and Miss Goodnight eat a banquet meal.

After dinner Scaramanga challenges Bond to a duel, where he sneakily leads Bond into his fun house hoping to kill him. However Bond manages to outwit the assassin by unrealistically taking the place of a life style mannequin of himself, allowing him to shoot him!

About

The son of a Cuban ringmaster and a British snake charmer, Francisco Scaramanga tells Bond that he spent most of his early childhood in the circus. Becoming an expert marksman, Scaramanga is hired by the KGB for assassination missions, later becoming freelance demanding $1 million dollars a contract. Infamously known as 'The Man With The Golden Gun' because of the famous golden pistol, Scaramanga uses the weapons one-bullet capacity expertly.

Through the later part of the film Scaramanga and Bond have an excellent battle of wits, where Bond becomes almost jealous of Scaramanga's lavish lifestyle. Sadly Nick Nack's preparation to keep Scaramanga on top-form fails when Bond kills his boss in his funhouse. §
