Profile

Operating a marine research company in the Keys, Bond is given a brief tour around the building by Krest when Sharkey accompanies him to buy a shark. Spotting the flower from Felix Leiter's suit, Bond knows he has the right place.

Later in the film Bond pays a stealthy visit to Krest's boat, the WaveKrest. He ventures into Krest's cabin where he finds Lupe Lamora sleeping. After working out Krest's involvement with Franz Sanchez in drugs smuggling, Bond sabotages the operation and flies off with millions of dollars.

After becoming a guest of Sanchez at his luxury estate, Bond plays to the paranoid tendencies of his host. With the help of Pam Bouvier and Q, Bond sets up Krest so that Sanchez believes he is ripping him off. Convinced of his betrayal, Sanchez orders Krest to be put into a decompression style chamber. In the gruesome sequence that follows, Sanchez raises the pressure inside the chamber to extreme levels. After putting an axe to the air-pressure vent, Krest's head rapidly expands and then explodes.

About

Milton Krest is part of an international drugs cartel run by Sanchez. The marine research company owned by Krest operates allegedly to conduct research into breeding fish to feed Third World nations. In reality it provides a base of operations, and the WaveKrest a means of conducting various drug smuggling transactions. §
