Necros played by Andreas Wisniewski is the third villain of The Living Daylights. After General Georgi Koskov’s defection is complete he is brought to the MI6 Blayden safe house.
Whilst Koskov plants the seeds of doubt about General Leonid Pushkin, Necros masterfully enters the safe house under the guise of a milkman. After two vicious fights in the kitchen, Necros gets security to evacuate the building declaring a dangerous gas leak. To make the illusion seem real Necros uses his Explosive Milk Bottles to complete the ‘kidnap’ of General Koskov.
Necros is seen in a number of other scenes throughout the film, generally at Koskov’s side assisting him. Since the opium smuggling operation has to go ahead, Brad Whitaker tells Necros that if Bond hasn’t killed Pushkin before the last day of the conference then he must kill him. Helping Koskov with the diamond/opium exchange, Necros manages to board the Hercules unseen as Bond takes off. Whilst in flight Bond tells Kara Milovy to keep the plane steady whilst he defuses the bomb he planted. Necros then appears and attempts to strangle Bond with a cargo net. Bond manages to cut the net and the fight continues outside the plane with both Bond and Necros hanging onto the large net bundle of opium. In an exciting sequence Bond manages to gain the upper hand with Necros hanging on to his boot. Bond slowly cuts lace by lace until he cuts the last lace causing Necros to fall to his death.

A humourless assassin Necros is a cold-blooded killer formerly working for the Soviets, now working for Koskov and Whitaker. Necros seems to enjoy listening to The Pretenders “Where Has Everybody Gone” on his walkman as it is playing a couple of times throughout the film when he kills his victims. Necros uses his walkman to strangle his victims, and seems to enjoy strangulation in general. A menacing intimidating character, Necros perfectly compliments Koskov’s and Whitakers ‘lighter’ villains. §
