Thunderball Posters

The UK teaser Quad further advertised this message by featuring four excellent scenes from Thunderball using the tag line audiences knew so well by now. The UK and US Thunderball posters were created by Robert McGinnis and Frank McCarthy, who went on to provide a number of excellent James Bond posters including the Thunderball poster.

The UK and US posters featured the artwork of McGinnis and McCarthy instructing audiences once more to Look Out! While the US 1-Sheet used the three ‘panels’ of action, the UK Quad simply used the final panel - Look Out!

International versions of the Thunderball poster generally featured some of the McGinnis and McCarthy artwork blended in with other artwork, sometimes unique to that country. §
