To remind audiences that Bond was still alive and kicking a huge media campaign was launched, Goldeneye was everywhere and the teaser posters announced, “You know the name, You know the number”. One of the most famous teaser posters is an extreme close-up of Pierce Brosnan's eye with his gun facing out at the audience.
UK and US final posters took on a similar design but with a number of differences. The US opted for a two-tone more threatening images of the main characters, where as the UK posters went for less threatening photographic publicity shots of the stars. The UK Quad is perhaps the best poster of the film due to its format, and has become a rare and sought after item today for collectors.
International versions used the 1-Sheet design through most countries using the photographic images of the stars. §
