Diana Rigg plays Teresa Di Vicenzo, the only woman in a Bond film who Bond actually marries for love. Bond encounters Tracy at the very start of On Her Majesty's Secret Service when he finds her trying to kill herself by walking into the sea.
However two goons attack Bond shortly after rescuing her, with Tracy hastily leaving the scene.
Later that evening 007 encounters Tracy in the hotel casino where she is gambling with money she doesn't have. Bond saves her once again and after a fight with some thugs, they both spend the night together.
In the morning Bond is taken to meet Draco, the father of Tracy and head of Draco industries. As the film progresses we see Bonds relationship blossom with Tracy as they fall in love. After Bond escapes from Blofelds icy lair they meet up again where Tracy provides valuable support to escape Irma Bunt and Blofelds henchmen. Blofeld catches up with the duo and causes an avalanche burying Bond and Tracy in the snow. Blofeld takes Tracy back to his mountainous retreat, happy in the assumed knowledge of Bonds death.
After Blofeld is dealt with, Bond and Tracy get married and drive off into the distance. In a tragic climax Tracy is killed when Irma Bunt and Blofeld drive past showering Bonds Aston Martin with bullets parked on the side of the road.

Teresa Di Vicenzo is a complex character. She alters from being suicidal, attention seeking, adventurous and daring. Very much a 'loose cannon' at the start of Her Majesty's Secret Service, Draco tells Bond she needs a calming influence. Truly a match for Bond in many ways, Bond manages to overcome Tracy’s initial rejections. Their relationship slowly grows into one of love, something that Bond is unusually happy to embrace. The reality of the relationship adds impact to the films tragic climax where Bond loses the one woman he has truly ever loved.
