Dr. Christmas Jones played by Denise Richards is the final Bond Girl of The World Is Not Enough. Dr. Christmas Jones is an expert in nuclear weapons and is assigned to decommission a number of nuclear weapons at an old test site in Kazakhstan.
Bond arrives under the guise of a nuclear scientist where he meets Dr. Jones. She is not totally convinced by his identity and tries to catch Bond out a few times without success. After rushed introductions, Bond and Christmas escape the underground complex after a bomb left by Renard sets off a chain reaction of explosions.
Later in the film Christmas helps Bond in investigating the bomb travelling through Elektra's pipeline. Whilst trying to defuse the bomb Christmas tells Bond that half the plutonium is missing. Realising Elektra's plan at the last minute Bond tells Christmas to let the bomb explode as they narrowly avoid the explosion. Christmas then accompanies Bond to find out Valentin Zukovsky's involvement with Elektra.
On route to where Elektra and Renard are hiding Bond and Christmas are captured. While Bond stays with Elektra, Christmas is taken to Renard. Bond kills Elektra, boards the submarine, and with the help of Christmas they stop Renard from causing a nuclear incident. The film ends when Bond enjoys having Christmas in Turkey.
Dr. Christmas Jones is a doctor in Atomic Physics. Christmas works for the International Decommissioning Agency helping to decommission surplus nuclear weapons in the former Soviet Union. She provides much needed assistance to Bond in defeating Renard and stops a nuclear incident occurring. The stunning Denise Richards does play the part of the intellectual and playful Dr. Jones well, but her relatively young age is not thoroughly convincing to make her a nuclear weapons expert. §
