Defence Minister Dimitri Mishkin played by Tcheky Karyo is the first ally of Goldeneye. After the destruction of the Severnaya Space Facility, Mishkin calls a meeting to discuss General Ouromov’s investigation.
When Ourumov arrives Mishkin confronts him about his report claiming Siberian separatists caused the attack, bringing the generals attention to the two missing Severnaya programmers. This alerts Ourumov that Natalya Fyodorovna Simonova has escaped. Later in the film Mishkin interrogates Natalya and Bond, where he finds out that Ourumov was the person who set off the first Goldeneye Satellite. The general kills Mishkin moments afterward when he finds out Mishkin has learnt of his betrayal.
